Workshop Outline:
A look at many of the systems that are used to protect special hazards or when something other than the traditional Fire Alarm or Sprinkler systems are needed. This presentation will go through when it makes sense to consider using a special hazard system and how to deploy the various technologies. Finally, we will explore the connection between special hazards systems and the Fire Alarm in a building.

Instructor's Biography:
Gerry has 14 years’ experience in the Fire Protection Industry with broad experience in specialty detection, special hazard systems, sprinkler, fire alarm, and security. He has managed offices, large installation projects, and teams of technical sales associates. Gerry sat on the national board of directors of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) and was an active member of their education committee. Gerry served as a member-at-Large for the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Southern Ontario Chapter from May 2015 to May 2019.
